BEAST 1.0 Live Adaptative Rigging System (LARS)

BEAST The Beast Makers

"A long time ago, I dreamed of a real-time adaptive rigging tool.

I recall that my initial proof of concept was done at MacGuffLigne for an animation test related to the animated movie "Comment j'ai mangé mon père".

Then a second try was for a TV Commercial Oasis https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0Nu-2Tcr4w at Machine Molle company to be able to rig all characters in a few weeks ! I love Challenges !

When I have decided to leave Paris for Montpellier in South of France, I was joining Dwarf Animation Studio as a rigging supersivor so guess what I did ? An Live Adaptative Rigging System based on C++ plugins that Me and my team has developed.

We use it in production for Pirata & Capitano TV Series and Mon Chichi Tv Series.

Naturally, When I founded The Beast Makers in 2017, with my incredible R&D team, I decided to create a LARS, that we called BEAST !

When you taste this technology, trust me, you can't rollback !

Hi Everyone !

We are proud to share this demo video of BEAST Live Adaptative Rigging System (LARS) version 1.0 our in-house rigging software ** !

Its flexibility is impressive and its possibilities are endless !

- Imagine an adaptive modular rigging system, whose proportions you can quickly and live adapt to any character !

- Imagine a wysiwig* rigging system allowing you to do rigging retakes live...

The BEAST is coming ! :)

- BEAST is a very flexible adaptive module creation interface and a powerful module assembler to build complex and parametric rigs !

- No more millions of lines of complex code to maintain in production!

- All model rigs can become a full-fledged module and everything is really live in your scene !

- The complexity and quality of your rig are no longer made up of millions of lines of code but simply an assembly of live rig modules that are easy to debug and saved as Autodesk Maya scenes (for now).

- It have been production proof on an animated feature films, dinosaures documentaries and several VFX movies !

Stay tuned, it seems that Beast can be distributed publicly soon...

Enjoy watching.
